Daniele Cestari (1983) si laurea in architettura nel 2009 per poi dedicarsi alla pittura.
E' consapevole che la sua carriera di artista è strettamente legata ai suoi studi universitari di architettura, che ha portato a compimento con una tesi di laurea in progettazione urbanistica. In questo contesto egli ha sviluppato la predilezione per l'aspetto fisico della città e per il paesaggio urbano studiando pittura e fotografia.

Vede la città come la macchina più complessa che l'uomo abbia mai costruito: l'identità di questo singolare congegno consiste nella manifestazione, apparentemente inconoscibile, delle creazioni architettoniche, senza mai dimenticare quella che è la presenza sottile e impercettibile dell'uomo. Le sue città si imbrattano dei segni e delle storie delle persone, e lui, da naufrago urbano, le riporta con lo stesso spirito d'osservazione di uno storico con lo sguardo d'artista.

Nel 2011 viene invitato al Padiglione regionale Emilia Romagna per la 54° BIENNALE DI VENEZIA.
Nel 2014 viene invitato a partecipare a "Ritratti di Città – Urban sceneries" a cura di Flaminio Gualdoni aVilla Olmo a Como.
E' presente alla 4° edizione Bienal del fin del Mundo, Mar del Plata 12 dicembre 2014- 22 febbraio 2015.

Daniele Cestari (1983) was graduated in Architecture in 2009 then he devoted himself to painting.

He is conscious that his artistic carrier is strictly related to his academic architectural studies, that brought him to degree with an issue about urbanistic design. In this context he developed his interest for the physical aspect of the city and the urban landscape, studying photography and painting.

Cestari sees the city as the more complex machine that the human kind has ever constructed: the identity of this peculiar device consists in the manifestation of architectural creations without ever forgetting what is the subtle and imperceptible presence of man. His cities are smeared with the signs and stories of people, and he, as an urban castaway, brings them back with the same spirit of observation of a historian with an artist's gaze.

In 2011 he was invited to the Emilia Romagna Regional Pavilion for the 54th BIENNALE DI VENEZIA.
